Erica and Matt Hogan from Colorado were searching for a property in Costa Rica when they found a slice of land being sold for deforestation. The couple purchased it, but instead of cutting down trees they started an amazing project.
The Hogans founded Finca Bella Vista – the community of people living in the real treehouses. These houses have everything one needs for living, including indoor plumbing, running water and fully operational kitchen.
Zip cables and bridges between the trees serve as a private transportation network. The village also has a base camp with main office and a community center that includes a dining hall, an open-air lounge, a 3G and Wi-Fi zone, a bathhouse and a fire ring.
